As part of Winterfest 2017 I ran a Creative Writing workshop as an introduction for anyone who wanted to try out their ideas for writing fiction or non-fiction.  The day was successful and a group of attendees, most of whom had never done anything similar, decided they would like to continue meeting to share their writing and to learn from each other.

That was how Brightlingsea Writers’ Group was formed.  We meet monthly, usually on Mondays, at one of the group’s homes.  The host provides tea or coffee and biscuits.  Not all group members are able to host. There is no charge for the meetings although we are currently considering subscribing to a writing publication.  The variety and quality of the written contributions has been impressive.  We are looking for new members so if you are interested please come and see how the group work. Don’t think you ‘couldn’t do it’ – we all have areas that can be improved but we are a supportive and very friendly group.

On 10th February 2018, as part of this year’s WinterFest,  I will be running a short introductory workshop as part of Well Being Day at the Community Centre.  I hope members of the group will be around to chat and answer any questions.
